This range of jewellery was developed as an extension of my exhibition works. With plenty of soft imagery and remaining glass from making bigger works, it seemed ideal to use these materials in another way - wearable, ethereal, soft forms and designs. Each is hand cut, sanded and fired with the decal imagery, before the first firing which secures the decal to the glass. Each is coated with white enamel, sanded and refine once more before the fastening for a brooch or earring attached. The pieces incorporate soft dappled imagery evocative of feeling and sensation.
